How to annotate on screen share?

Written by Imran Ahmed

Collaborate more effectively using screen share annotation. You and your participants can draw, highlight, and emphasize content in real time during a screen share.

💡 Pro Tip:

The annotation toolbar appears only when the screen share is pinned / fullscreen.

Turn on Lead and pin or fullscreen it so everyone can see and use the toolbar.

How to Annotate on a Screen Share

  1. Start by sharing your screen.

  2. Your shared screen will be automatically pinned. The annotation toolbar will appear at the bottom center.

  3. Click the > arrow to minimize the toolbar.

  4. Click the Annotate icon to bring it back anytime.

Additional Notes

  • You may notice two cursors while annotating—one for the shared screen and another for the original window or tab being shared. This is expected behavior.

  • Annotations are temporary and will be cleared once the screen share ends.
