How to share a recording with your students?

Written by Imran Ahmed

After a session has been recorded, you can share the recording with students and other participants so they can review the session later.

To share a recording in Pencil Spaces, you’ll first need to update its access settings and then copy the recording’s shareable link.

How to share a recording

To share a lesson recording with a student:

  1. From the Pencil Spaces home screen, click Analytics in the left-hand navigation bar.

  2. Select Recordings to open your Recording Dashboard. You can also access the Recording Dashboard directly by visiting my.pencilapp.com/analytics/recordings.

  3. Find and select the recording you want to share.

  4. In the recording’s detailed view, click the three-dot menu (⋯) in the top-right corner.

  5. Select Change Access.

  6. Choose Hosts and Participants. This will ensure students (participants) will be able to view the video you’re sharing with them.

  7. Click Copy link.

Once you’ve copied the link, you can send it to the appropriate people so they can access the recording and review the session.

Note: Make sure you select the appropriate access setting before sharing the recording link. People who do not have permission to access the recording may be unable to view it.
