How do I reset my password?

Learn how to reset the password to your Pencil Spaces account.

If you’ve forgotten the password that you use to sign in to Pencil Spaces, you can reset it by following the steps below.

Note: This process only applies to accounts that use email and password sign-in. If you normally sign in using an SSO provider (e.g., Google, Clever, ClassLink, etc.) you’ll need to manage your password through that provider instead. Alternatively, you can use a magic code to sign in to Pencil Spaces without a password.

How to reset your Pencil Spaces password

To reset your Pencil Spaces password:

  1. Go to my.pencilapp.com and select Continue with Email.

  2. Enter the email address associated with your Pencil Spaces account, then click Continue.

  3. When prompted to enter your password, click Reset password below the Continue button.

  4. A 6-digit reset code will be sent to your email address. Enter the code when prompted. Be sure to check your spam or junk folder if you can’t see the email in your inbox.

  5. Once your code has been verified, you’ll be redirected to a page where you can create a new password. Enter your new password and click Confirm.

  6. Once your password has been reset, return to my.pencilapp.com and select Continue with Email.

  7. Enter your email address and new password to sign in to Pencil Spaces.

Then you’re all set! Your password has now been updated and you can use it the next time you sign in.

Note: If you don’t see the Enter your password option when trying to sign in to Pencil Spaces, then your account may not use email and password sign-in. You may have signed up using an SSO provider (e.g., Google, Microsoft, etc.), or your Pencil Spaces account may be associated with a different email address.

What if I don't receive my reset code?

First, double-check that you’ve entered the correct email address associated with your Pencil Spaces account. If the email address is correct, check your spam or junk folder for the reset email.

If you still can’t find the email, you can also try requesting a new reset code. Alternatively, you can follow the steps to log in via magic code instead.
