Please ensure you've received the appropriate permissions to automatically record calls, based on the laws and regulations that apply to your institution.
You can choose to record all calls made in Spaces associated with your institution. This includes breakout rooms, even if you're not in the call.
Access Recording Settings
Go to Permissions.
Select the Recording tab.
Turn on Choose how recordings are handled in your institution:
After clicking update, try to create a new Space and start a call. Cloud recording should start recording automatically.

For existing Spaces, always-on recording takes effect from the next new call. If a call is in progress or has just ended, have everyone leave and wait about five minutes for the call room to close before starting another call. Always-on recording applies immediately to newly created Spaces.
