Keyboard shortcuts help you work faster in Pencil Spaces, whether youâre switching whiteboard tools, moving between boards, or managing a live session. Use the tables below to find the shortcut for your device and the action it performs.
A quick note before you start: Shortcuts will only work when youâre not actively typing in a text box, sticky note, chat, Web Viewer, or another text field. To see the full list of shortcuts inside your Space, select Help in the top-right corner, then Keyboard shortcuts.
Whiteboard tools
Use these shortcuts to select tools and edit items on your board.

Board navigation
Move around the canvas, adjust your view, and switch between boards without interrupting your workflow.

Call controls
Manage your audio, video, and hand-raising during a session.

Mute / unmute | Alt + M | Option + M | Turn your microphone off or on. |
Video on / off | Alt + V | Option + V | Turn your camera off or on. |
Raise hand | Alt + H | Option + H | Raise or lower your hand during a session. |
Additional notes:
Browser support: Keyboard shortcuts work across supported browsers, including Chrome, Safari, and Firefox, on Windows and macOS.
Customization: Pencil Spaces currently doesnât offer an option to disable or customize keyboard shortcuts.
