Live Call Alerts provide hosts with real-time feedback on their speaking time and student engagement during calls. These alerts are designed to encourage balanced participation and help improve meeting dynamics.

Enabling and Disabling Live Call Alerts

Steps:

  1. Go to Institution Settings > AI Assist

  2. Toggle Live Call Alerts on or off as desired

How Live Call Alerts Work

  • When shown:

    • Alerts appear after 30 minutes in the current call (measured locally).

    • Only shown to hosts.

  • Speaking time ratio calculation:

Speaking time ratio = Local user talk time ÷ All user talk time

(Note: talk time ≠ total call time. Only the time spent speaking is measured.)

  • Types of alerts (examples):

    1. High speaking time (above 60%)“Why not let others speak a bit?”

    2. Balanced speaking time (between 20% and 60%)“You’re a team player!”

    3. Low speaking time (below 20%)“Why not speak more?”
