What is Local Recording?
Local Recording captures your call directly on your device. Start the recording by sharing your screen and enabling your device’s local record option.

Pencil Spaces also supports cloud recording! This saves your session directly to the cloud, so there’s no need to store large files on your device. Learn more
How to Start Local Recording?
Click the three-dot menu (⋯) below your video feed.
Select Record from the menu.
Choose Record on your device.
When prompted, select what to share — Entire Screen, Window, or Tab — then click Share.
Once recording begins, you’ll see an on-screen indicator confirming that recording is active.
To pause or stop the recording:
Click Stop sharing, or
Open the three-dot menu (⋯) again and select Pause Recording or Stop Recording.
After stopping, a pop-up will appear to save your recording:
If discarded, you can still view and download your previous recordings:
