How do I integrate with EdLink?

Edlink connects Pencil Spaces to your LMS or SIS, allowing you to import users and roster data without manually creating or uploading CSV files.

💡 Tip

Edlink sync is designed to import roster data automatically, so you don't need to manually create or upload CSV files.

Before you begin:

Edlink needs to be configured for your institution before you can sync users. Contact our support team to set up your Edlink integration and connect your schools to the appropriate LMS or SIS.

Connect Edlink

  1. Go to Settings.

  2. Open API & Integrations.

  3. Select LMS & SIS.

  4. Find Edlink and click Connect.

  5. In the dialog, click Contact Support.

  6. Our support team will help configure Edlink for your institution. Once Edlink has been configured, the integration will show as Active.

Sync users from Edlink

After your Edlink integration is set up:

  1. Go back to the Edlink Settings page in Pencil (Steps 1 to 4 above)

  2. Click Sync.

  3. Wait for the sync to complete.

  4. A Sync completed notification will appear.

  5. The status will show the number of users synced and the number of sites they were added to.

Imported users are assigned their Pencil Spaces role based on their Edlink role and are placed in the Pencil sites mapped to their schools.
