You told us you wanted something cleaner, easier to navigate, and faster to use in the middle of a live session—so we’ve built a simpler, sleeker toolbar that gets out of the way and makes your most-used tools easier to reach.
What’s new
1. One-click access to apps, resources, and recordings
Your favorite tools are now just one click away.
App Library – Quickly open the apps you use most without digging through menus. The App Library button lives right on the toolbar, so you can launch apps directly onto the board in seconds.
Resource Library – Open the Resource Library from the toolbar to browse and drop resources straight into your Space.
Recordings – Starting or finding recordings is now much easier. Access them straight from the toolbar.
2. Quicker ways to adjust drawing tools
We’ve streamlined how you fine-tune your drawing tools.
When you select a pen or highlighter, you’ll now see thickness options directly above the toolbar. Switch between different line weights with a single click - no extra panels, no buried settings.
We've also made it easier to switch between tools with better keyboard shortcuts. You can learn more here.
3. See other users’ viewports (with a toggle)
You can now see the viewports of other users on the screen—small outlined areas that show what someone else is currently looking at on the board.
This is especially helpful when you’re supporting a student or teammate and want to see exactly what they’re viewing.
Don’t want to see viewports all the time? There’s a simple toggle in the toolbar to turn them on or off whenever you like, so you stay in control of your own view.

This toolbar update is just the first step. We’re already working on additional improvements, including:
Better responsiveness on mobile and desktop so the toolbar feels great whether you’re on a laptop, tablet, or phone
Refinements to layout and controls based on how you use the tools day to day
