To address this issue, please follow the steps below. In each case, go back to Pencil Spaces and refresh the page to check whether the error resolves:
Close other applications
โCheck if any other video conferencing/calling application is active in the background alongside Pencil Spaces; you may have trouble enabling your video feed because the camera is in use. To fix this, close the other application completely before trying to turn on your video in Pencil Spaces.
Reconnect External Devices
โIf you are using a webcam or an external microphone, try unplugging it and plugging it back into your device
Update your Browser
โVerify that your browser is up-to-date.
โIf your're using Google Chrome or any other compatible browsers, ensure that your browser is updated to the latest version.
โRestart your browser after updating.
Update Drivers/OS
โCheck settings in Pencil Spaces
โTest on Other Platforms
โIn rare cases, following the steps above may still not fix the issue of your camera or microphone. If this is the case, please visit the following website to test if your camera is working: Link here.
โNote: If your camera or microphone doesnโt work on this website, the issue might be due to software or hardware errors unrelated to Pencil Spaces. In that case:
Try joining Pencil Spaces from another computer.
Alternatively, select a different microphone or camera.
