1. What is the Pencil Spaces Web Viewer?
The Pencil Spaces Web Viewer is a form of browser that resides inside your Space. It enables students and teachers alike to browse the web without opening additional tabs or apps and disrupting the flow of the class.
Additionally, the Web Viewer is collaborative among the participants in the Space. This allows students and teachers to work all on one browser to perform group online activities, without everyone needing their own tabs open.
Classes can edit documents and spreadsheets, watch YouTube videos, and use simulations all at once, with each participant having their own degree of control, all on Web Viewer within the Space.
2. How Do I Use It?
Using the Web Viewer in your Spaces is simple. With the following steps, you will be able to surf the web within the confines of your Space in no time!
Once you've logged in and joined a Space, navigate to the left-hand side of your screen, towards the apps sidebar.
Next, click the "Web" button; This will open up a Web Viewer on your board. To be able to effectively use the Web Viewer, please ensure that you are using the Selection Tool within Pencil Spaces, otherwise, the Web Viewer will be uneditable.
Now, you'll be able to surf the web within your Space!
βYou can also open multiple web viewers at once, each of which acts like a browser within the Space. Accordingly, you can have multiple browsers with multiple tabs open within the Space, customized to your personal usage of the Web Viewer.
3. Closing the Web Viewer
Once you're finished using your Web Viewer, you can close it by clicking the "X" button in the upper right-hand corner of the Web Viewer window. Please note that this will sign you out of all accounts (Ex. Your Google account if you chose to log in), and that the login info will not be saved for the future.
