What to do when your screen share fails in Safari

To learn more about how to screen share using Pencil Spaces and how to gain access to screen sharing permissions, please reference the following article: How to Screen Share in Pencil Spaces.

If you are trying to screen share in Safari, you first have to give Pencil Spaces permission to observe your screen.

To start, click the "Screen share" button found at the bottom of your participant box.

If you get the following error message, refresh your page:

Re-join or start the call, and click the "Screen share" button again. A pop-up will appear asking you if you would like to give Pencil permission to observe your screen. Click "Allow".

From there, you will be able to share your screen in Pencil Spaces. Something important to note is that Safari currently only supports sharing your entire screen, not individual tabs like you would be able to in Google Chrome. For the best Pencil Spaces experience, use Google Chrome.

If you need additional support, just click the "Help" button at the top right corner of your Space to contact our 24/7 support team.
