With AI Safeguarding Alerts, Pencil Spaces can automatically detect potential safeguarding concerns in session conversations, including both spoken content and chat messages.
Steps to Enable Safeguarding Alerts
Click Settings on the left side of Home and choose Settings.
āSelect AI Assist.
āToggle on Safeguarding Alerts.
āClick Update to save your changes.
How does AI Safeguarding work?
AI Safeguarding runs automatically in the background after a recorded session ends. It analyzes both the spoken conversation and chat messages from the session to identify potential safeguarding concerns.
The AI considers the context of each message or spoken statement, including the sender, their role, timestamp, and conversation type. Chat analysis includes both messages sent to everyone in the Space and private DMs.
Safeguarding can identify potential concerns from:
Spoken conversations captured in the session recording
Chat messages sent to everyone in the Space
Direct messages (DMs) between participants
Other safeguarding signals, such as detected inappropriate content or manually raised safeguarding flags
Normal conversations that don't contain safeguarding concerns should not be flagged.
