How to enable nudity detection alerts?

P
Written by Pencil Support

Nudity Detection helps institutions improve session safety by detecting potential nudity during Spaces and automatically notifying institution administrators. When enabled, admins receive email alerts if suspected nudity is detected during a session.

Note: This feature is available only for supported institutions and devices.

How to Enable Nudity Detection

  1. Go to Institution Settings > Permissions > Safeguarding tab

  2. Turn on Enable nudity detection alerts.

  3. Save your changes.

When enabled, institution administrators will receive email notifications if suspected nudity is detected during a Space.

How Alerts Work

If potential nudity is detected during a session:

  • An email alert is automatically sent to all institution admins

  • Only one email notification per session is sent, even if multiple detections occur.

Important Notes

  • Nudity detection is configured per user device. For full institution coverage, users participating in Spaces should belong to the institution.

  • Some devices may not support nudity detection or may experience reduced performance depending on available CPU resources.

  • Disabling this feature stops all nudity detection email alerts for institution admins.
