If your camera or microphone isn’t detected, please follow these steps:

  1. Close Other Applications

    • Ensure no other video calling/conferencing applications are using the camera or microphone simultaneously.

  2. Reconnect External Devices

    • If you're using an external webcam or microphone, unplug it and plug it back in.

  3. Update Your Browser

    • Verify that your browser is up-to-date.

    • If using Google Chrome or any other compatible browsers, ensure that your
browser is updated to the latest version.

    • Restart your browser after updating.

  4. Update Your System

    • Make sure your operating system is up-to-date.

    • Restart your computer after applying the following updates

  5. Test on Other Platforms

    • Check to see if your camera or microphone works on other platforms like Google Meet.

    • Visit the following testing website to verify your camera's functionality; Click Here to Test.
Note: If your camera or microphone doesn’t work on this website, the issue might be due to software or hardware errors unrelated to Pencil Spaces. In that case:

      • Try joining Pencil Spaces from another computer.

      • Alternatively, select a different microphone or camera.

  6. Restart Your Device

If none of the above steps resolve the issue, try restarting your device. A simple restart can often fix temporary problems.
