What is the Waiting Room?
The Waiting Room provides hosts with additional controls on when a participant can access a Space. Participants are kept in the Waiting Room until the host is ready to start, preventing disruptions if the host is still setting up their class. Participants are only admitted to a Space when a host has granted them permission to enter the Space.
β
For Hosts: Enabling Waiting Room
To enable a Waiting Room in a particular Space:

β
For Participants: Joining the Waiting Room
There are several cases where you might be placed inside a Waiting Room when attempting to access a Space.
The Space has Waiting Rooms enabled
The Space is public but you're attempting to enter the Space as a Guest without a Pencil Spaces account
The Space is private but you haven't been granted to access to the Space
In each case, a host may choose to Admit or Reject your request to enter that Space.
To access the Space as applicable,
Visit the Space link on your device. Provided you are logged-in, you will see a screen similar to the one below.
βFollow the on screen instructions. A host may Accept or Reject your request. At worst case, you may need to contact the Space host to explicitly grant you access to the Space.
