If you're seeing this message, this means that sites have been enabled for your institution and you're creating a Space or Event within it.
What are sites and why are they important?
Sites ensure that your institution's data on Pencil Spaces is only accessible to users with the right permissions to access it. This is helpful, for example, when your institution operates over a number of tuition centers or schools.
How do I assign a site?
To assign a site, select the dropdown and pick a site that is most relevant to the Space / event that you're creating. For example, if you're creating a Space for an event at School A, then select School A.
You will only be able to pick from sites you have access to. Institution Admins have access to all institution sites. However, site admins, students, or teachers will only be able to select their assigned sites.
For data privacy reasons, once a site is selected, the site for an event or Space cannot be changed. This is done to ensure that any reports associated with that event are not corrupted by data from other sites.
Sites assigned to a set users are modifiable via Profiles (details here)
