With Pencil's AI Summarization feature, you can now condense all the content covered in a virtual class into concise notes, actionable items, and more. This help article will assist you in enabling AI summarization on your Pencil Spaces account.

1. Log in to the Pencil Spaces account where you want to enable AI summarization,

2. On Home, click on your profile image placed on the top-right of the page. From the drop-down menu, choose Settings.

3. You could also access Settings on Home, by clicking on the 3-dot menu placed on the left side of Home. From the drop-down menu, choose Settings.

​4. Select Permissions from the Settings menu.
​

5. Navigate to the AI Assist permissions
​

6. Under AI Assist permissions, toggle on “Automatically summarize cloud recordings”. If this option is not available for you, please contact Pencil Spaces Support.

7. Once toggled-on, click on “Update” to save your changes.
​

8. Once updated, a green dialogue box will appear in the top-right corner.
​

9. After any cloud recorded session, you will receive an email outlining the summary of your sessions and any associated action items. You also have the option to visit the same space directly from the received email by clicking on “Visit Space”.

10. To turn-off AI summarization, simply toggle off “Automatically summarize cloud recordings” in AI Assist permissions and click on “Update”.
