If you see a recording indicator during a call, it means that the call is being recorded. In all cases, all audio will always be recorded.

Depending on the settings for your institution (if applicable) or for your Space, your video may or may not be recorded. We offer three types of recording in Spaces:

  • Locally, which means a host has started recording the call to their local device. Your video may or may not be visible in the recording, depending on what the host is choosing to record

  • To the cloud, which means a host has asked for the call to be recorded on the cloud. Your video will be recorded.

  • Via always-on-recording, which means your institution requires all calls in Spaces associated with the institution to be recorded to the cloud. As with manual cloud recording, your video will be recorded.

If you do not wish to be recorded, please contact your host or your Institution Admin.

It is your responsibility to ensure that you comply with local regulation when recording users in a Space. We strongly recommend you consult a lawyer prior to starting recording in a Space.
