1. What Is The Spaces Manager?

In short, the Spaces Manager is the "Home" screen that you see any time you log into Pencil Spaces.

Here, you can see tons of information about each Space, so let's break this down into more digestible categories.

2. Name, Host(s), And Status

Starting on the left-hand side of the page, the first column is the "Name" column. It is relatively self-explanatory and displays the name of each Space that you either own or to which you have been invited. Above this column, there is a search bar that allows you to look for specific Spaces by name.

However, underneath each Space name are two icons that give you some more information about the Space. The icon on the left-hand side will either be a globe, representing a public Space that anyone can join, or a lock, representing invite-only private Spaces. The icon on the right-hand side represents the number of people that have access to the Space.

The next column is the "Host(s) column. This column displays the name of the person who created the Space, plus the number of additional hosts, if applicable.

Finally, the "Status" column displays the people that are in the Space at the time you are viewing your Spaces Manager. It will show icons that correspond to users if there are people in the Space, or text reading "There's no one here" if there's nobody in the Space.

3. Other Features

To the right of the "Status" column, there are a few other important features. For the Spaces of which you are a host, you'll notice "Link" and "Add" icons, an "Enter Space" button, and a "More" button.

Clicking the "Link" icon will instantly copy the invite link to the Space, which can then be shared with students, teachers, administrators, or parents. Clicking the "Add" icon will open up the "Add" menu, where you can add specific people by name or email as hosts or participants in the Space.

The "Enter Space" button is self-explanatory and allows you to jump directly into the Space in question. Finally, clicking the "More" button brings up two additional icons.

Clicking the uppermost icon will allow you to rename the Space, and clicking the bottom icon will delete the Space.

For Spaces of which you are not the host, you will only see a "Link" icon and the "Enter Space" button.
