How to manage my Spaces

Learn how to use the Space Manager to view, search, and manage all of your Spaces in one place.

What is a Space?

In Pencil Spaces, a Space is your online classroom with an infinite whiteboard and built-in video conferencing.

What is the Space Manager?

The Space Manager is the homepage you see whenever you log in. From here, you can:

  • View and manage all of your Spaces

  • Search and filter Spaces

  • Access quick actions and detailed controls

Searching and Filtering Spaces

Use the search bar or filters in the Space Manager to quickly find a Space by name or narrow down the list of Spaces you’re looking for.

  1. Locate the search box at the top of the Space Manager. Type your keyword and press Enter to see matching Spaces.

  2. Next to the search box, click the Filter button. From here, you can narrow down your Spaces using options such as date created, hosts, participants, tags, and more.

Quick Actions

Each Space in the Space Manager shows a snapshot, including:

  • Space title

  • Hosts and attendees

  • Current status (who’s inside the Space and whether a call is active)

More Actions

  1. Hover over your Space and click the "View Details" button at the right side.

  2. This will open the Space details which gives additional actions, such as:

    1. Copy the Space link

    1. Invite others

    2. View analytics

    3. View more Space info

  3. You can also click the pen and 3-dot icon on the rop right to further configure your Space.

    1. Edit Space details

    2. Duplicate Space

    3. Use as a template

    4. Archive or Delete the Space
