Pencil Spaces is both a collaborative whiteboard and a video conferencing tool. Since Pencil Spaces offers both experiences, you don't need to use other video conferencing tools to facilitate online classes, however, if you prefer to use other video calling software, you can use it along with our whiteboard!

In order to collaborate with others on your whiteboard, you have to give them access to your Space. To invite participants to your Space, click the blue "Invite" button found on the top right corner of your screen.

If your Space is private, each participant needs to be individually invited by name or email to your Space. If your Space is public, anyone who has access to your Space's sharable link can join you in the Space. To learn more about how to invite people to your Space, please read the following article: How to Invite People to your Session. If you would like to learn more about the differences between private and public Spaces, please read the following article: Public vs. Private Spaces.

Your participants will be able to join you in your Space as soon as they create a free account or log in to an existing account. Once everything is set up, you can all collaborate on your Pencil Spaces whiteboard while communicating on another video conferencing tool! To learn more about how to log in to Pencil, please read the following article: How to Sign Into Pencil.
