In Pencil Spaces, you can delete a single message in a chat, or you can delete the entire chat. With Pencil's latest feature, you now have the ability to reset your Space, clearing everything on your whiteboard and in your chat entirely.
Deleting a single message in a chat
To delete anything in your chat, you first need to open your chat by clicking the message icon found on the left-hand side of your Space.
To delete a single message in a chat, find the message you wish to delete and click on it. A trash icon will appear directly below it; click on it.
The message will instantly be removed from your chatbox.
You cannot recover any messages that have been deleted from your chat.
Deleting your entire chat
Similar to deleting a single message in your chat, to delete anything from your chat, you first need to open your chat by clicking the message icon found on the left-hand side of your Space.
To clear all the messages in your chat, click the three dots found at the top right corner of your chatbox. A “Delete” button will drop down; click on it.
You will be asked to confirm that you want to clear your entire chat as these changes cannot be reversed. Select the “Ok” button to confirm your changes.
All the messages that were in your chat will instantly be deleted.
Resetting your Space
With Pencil’s latest feature, you can now reset your Space. This means that all chat messages and content on the whiteboard will be removed from your Space. Once you have reset your Space, it is important to note that you will be unable to reverse the changes.
To reset your Space, click the three dots found at the top right-hand side of your screen.
A dropdown bar will appear. Click the “Reset Space” button.
You will be asked to confirm that you want to reset your Space. Click “Ok” to confirm the changes being made to your Space.
Your Space will instantly be cleared of all whiteboard content and chat messages.
