Yes, you can join the same Space across several devices. However, we recommend that you follow the guides below to ensure your class experience is not disrupted.

Joining across multiple devices

Several of our users prefer to use a touch screen device for writing on the whiteboard, and a main device for video calling in the same Space.

If this sounds like you:

  • To avoid echoing, please do not join the call on your second device. When prompted to join the call on your second device, simply tap "Not Now".

  • In addition, please keep your speaker off on your second device to avoid echoes from any sound playing on the whiteboard (e.g., from Web Viewers)

Joining on the same device

Pro Tip: Are you looking for Zoom style video pop-outs? If so, you might like to use Pop-Out Video instead! You can find more details here.

We strongly discourage joining a Space twice on the same device, as it can cause performance issues and large disruptions to calls. If you choose to do this:

  • Avoid joining the call on your second tab / browser, as detailed in the Joining across multiple devices above.

  • Instead of muting your device, you might like to mute your tab / browser instead. You can find details on how to do this on Windows here.
