Oases Online allows you to create and launch Pencil Spaces sessions directly from your Oases account, making it easier to manage scheduling, meetings, and session records in one place.
Step 1: Create an Oases Online account
If youâre new to Oases Online, create an account here.
Step 2: Create a Pencil Spaces account
If you donât already have a Pencil Spaces account, sign up to get started. A free trial is available.
Step 3: Copy your Pencil Spaces API key
Go to your Pencil Spaces dashboard and click Settings.
Navigate to API & Integrations.
Click the Generate API Key button.
Once generated, copy your unique API key and store it somewhere securely. For security reasons, you wonât be able to view it again after refreshing the page.
Step 4: Activate Pencil Spaces in Oases Online
Contact Oases Online Support and request assistance with activating the Pencil Spaces integration. Make sure to include your Pencil Spaces API key.
Once the integration is set up, you can create Pencil Spaces meetings directly from Oases.
Creating Pencil Spaces meetings from Oases
Depending on your Oases setup, you can create meetings in several ways:
Automatically create a Pencil Spaces meeting based on a session type
Generate meetings for sessions in a student's schedule
Manually create a meeting from a session with a single click
You can also use a combination of these options to suit your workflow.
Joining a session
Oases can send session links to tutors and students through scheduled reminders. Users can also launch their sessions directly from their Oases calendar.
Session records
After a session, tutors can complete their attendance and session notes in Oases as usual.
When available, Oases can retrieve session recordings and transcriptions from Pencil Spaces and add them to the session record.
